Foscam FI8910W Wireless Surveillance Camera Review

Hi! Today I am going over the brief review of Foscam camera modeled FI8918W. This is an indoor

camera released recently. FI8918W camera features high quality audio and video ,panning and tilting, remote internet viewing, motion detection, night vision as well as built in video recording system. In addition to this,  FI8918W is smart phone compatible, meaning that on your Iphone or android phone you can find an app that supports this Foscam camera, here you can download that app and use with this camera. In addition to this,  FI8918W functions very well as it can be used as baby monitor for your children or kids. It can also be used as your home or office security system with remote internet monitoring ability.  Since this is an unboxing review so I would prefer to go over what the package contains and what the camera comes with:

This cam is very small and light weight. It tilts and pans as I mentioned earlier. Panning is over 360 degrees whereas tilting is over 120 degrees. There are Infrared lights on the cam which are used for night vision. When there is light turned off in the house, IR Lights turned on automatically nevertheless you can set them turn on manually. Here is microphone in the front.

In the side there is speaker in the cam, that is when you talk into microphone in the PC then in return you can hear your voice in that speaker.

In the back you can see two ports AUDIO IN and AUDIO OUT. AUDIO OUT is for , if you want to upgrade integrated speaker and then you can hear your voice from  speaker. AUDIO IN is used for hearing your voice from integrated speaker. The square connector is RJ-45 connector for lan cable. These two LED’s indicate you about the connection wirelessly. White circular port is for wireless antenna. The last one port is power supply port.

Power extension cable is 1.5 feet long. So If you want to use this cam 50-100 feet away from you PC, then you can use AC extension cable and it will be all set doing your job.
